Good Value and Easy to Use
This 7 day timer is good value and controls my heat pump heating system with ease. Provided good cost reduction by using the 4 different setting you can program each day.


Horrible for Multi-Stage heat pumps with electric coil backup
I purchased this thermostat because I like the programmable setback features as well as the ability to see how long the system has ran in a given day. However, during the heating season my heat bill almost doubled. I had HVAC techs out 4 times, under warranty thankfully, to check the heat pump and they kept saying it was ok. Finally the last guy who came out determined it was the thermostat. The thermostat will run the heat pump for 15mins (this is preprogrammed and NOT changeable). If it hasn't reached its set point within that time it brings in Aux heat until it reaches its set point. When it's cold you're almost always running on Aux heat. For me that was electric and you can imagine the bills. I have since went with a thermostat that has Adaptive Intelligence (Honeywell) that will only bring in Aux heat when needed based on an internal calculation. The Adapative Intelligence thermostats will also shut off the Aux heat when it gets close enough to the set point that the thermostat knows the heat pump can do the rest. This Hunter thermostat works great for A/C, just not for heat with electric backup (Aux).


A must for a heat pump system
Previously we had installed termostato a programmabile normal school for a system standard. Unfortunately uncovered we have more subsequently delayed two years (too much) that if never used termostato a programmabile normal school with a system of the thermal pump then you really do not use the thermal pump in the winter - always strained of emergency heat that uses a ton of electricity and works on the great time of the invoice electrical worker! From we have then installed these units and it works excellent. There is many characteristics that programmabili I do not know where to begin! That is an exceptional unit for the price - you will not be displeased!


Not a "universal" thermostat



Not as great as I first thought it was
I bought this thermostat almost a year ago. I worked great for a while. Then in the middle of winter at 2am it started turning on the ac for no apparent reason. It has drove me nuts trying to figure out why. It works perfectly 99% of the time so it doesn't make sense. I've checked and rechecked the settings. I loved this thermostat up until this point.

There's nothing like being awakened by cold air in the middle of a cold night.


Great so far
This thermostat has been great thus far. I like the display, and it was pretty easy to program. This thermostat combined with a few CFL lights and a little extra effort at keeping lights off throughout the day has decreased my energy usage by 25% from last year. By next year the savings I'm seeing on my electric bill will probably have paid for the thermostat.


Easily installed by a surprised non tech-savvy guy
Bought this thermostat yesterday to replace the mundane mechanical manual one on my Ruud heat pump system. Included instructions for wiring could not have been any clearer. Programmed weekly schedule in 10 mins. I would highly recommend this to anyone.


A little pricey but works well
I have bought these termostato two weeks ago; it is working well up to now and it has abundance of the flange and it hisses. The installation was reasonably straight-forward; the instructions were a po little clearly, but one called their auxiliary staff has taken the cure of that problem. This unit seems pricy once confronted to other termostati, but it was that only one that I could find for a system of the thermal pump fine-to declare. But from when I could install it same and it is working well from then, I am not particularly unfortunate approximately the price.
